About SumGrid

SumGrid is a puzzle game made by SumGrid Games, a small independent studio. We wanted a calm place for the number puzzles we love most, without clutter, timers shouting at you or bright colours that tire your eyes after an evening of play. So SumGrid puts four classics in one app: Sudoku, Number Sums, Sum Sudoku (killer sudoku) and Kakuro.

How the puzzles are made

Every one of the 4000 levels (1000 per game) was generated and then checked by computer to have exactly one solution. That means you can always solve a SumGrid puzzle with logic alone, without guessing. Levels get gradually harder, and free play lets you choose any difficulty from gentle to fiendish. The daily set gives everyone the same four puzzles each day.

Where to play

SumGrid is free and supported by ads. Ads are shown on the website and in the Android app, never on top of the puzzle you're solving. Your progress stays on your own device; see our privacy policy.

Common questions

Is SumGrid free?

Yes. All four games, all levels and the daily set are free. The Android app has an optional one-time purchase to remove ads.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up. Progress is saved automatically on your phone, or in your browser when you play here.

How do I move my progress to another device?

Open Account → Back up & restore, copy the backup code, and paste it into Restore on the other device.

I cleared my browser data and lost my progress. Can you recover it?

Unfortunately not: your progress is stored only on your device, never on our servers. Making a backup code now and then keeps it safe.
